Why The Washington Outsider Center for Information Warfare?
We are outsiders because our mentality is independent of the Beltway Bubble; we work with human sources on the ground; we are open to examining diverse perspectives; we d not need to lobby; we provide facts and information, not narratives.
What is Information Warfare?
Information warfare involves information collection, transport, protection, and manipulation with the aim of gaining a competitive advantage over one’s adversary, whether in the military, intelligence, political, or business context. Other elements may include information disturbance, degradation, and denial. Another way of looking at it is as a combination of electronic warfare,
cyberwarfare, and psy-ops (psychological operations).
Information warfare utilizes cyberspace, advanced computing, mobile networks, unmanned
systems, and social media to gather intelligence, disrupt the operational capabilities of the other adversary, and to engage in a variety of tasks to advance the mission of the governmental or nonstate actors.
Why are we doing this?
We created this think tank because other think tanks have failed in providing accurate and independent information; they have failed foresee disasters such as October 7, and they have failed in their mission to educate the public about the essential dimension of information warfare, and to prepare Americans and their allies to deal with threats in information space. We have been outcast from the mainstream public policy world, because we are independent thinkers, researchers, and scholars. Our voices are not for sale.
What makes us different?
Our institute was founded from people of across the world; our diversity is our greatest strength. We use our diverse skills with versatility to check our blind spots and identify connections not visible in monolith organizations.. WE PROVIDE ACTIONABLE INTELLIGENCE.
